Featured Artist: Lisa Valore brings a wonderful graphic sense of line and shape to her images using the simplest of strokes and techniques. The result? A fresh, vibrant perspective of our world!

Featured Artist: Seva's art is almost always connected to words and stories. Most of them are illustrative and are connected to a variety of folktales, myths, songs, stories and proverbs. Some are easily recognizable and some are obscure, but the storytelling element is almost always noticeable in the paintings.

Featured Artist: John Wilmot - a Seattle-based photographer that will be showing both digital and film based "urban portraits and fashion images" in both color and B+W. His work will also be shown at ArtsWest theatre in West Seattle this September as part of the juried group show "5X5".

Featured Artist: Tara McDermott and her fine art photography of the natural elements; be they a copse of trees, or a curve of hill, often fading to the expected idyllic scene, a common and overwrought image. To transcend an otherwise predictable experience, Tara deliberately relies on formal composition and bold visuals. Her work is as much about enhancing a particular detail within an image as it is about distilling it to its simplest, purest form.

Featured Artist: Rick Simpson's lithography’s invite the viewer to dive in his haunting world of beauty, obscurity, depth and darkness. Rick lived and worked in Germany for many years, it's why European art and cultural tradition greatly influenced his perception of creativity. His many years of travel the world has directly shaped his approach to creating his own art. Also this month Randy Sill, beloved local ceramic artist, turns from his work in lovable monsters and happily toothy slugs to present pieces rich in texture in form which wonderfully intertwine with the darkness of Simpson's work.
