Artist: Alex Garland
Raise Haiti is back! Last year they raised $5000 with their Faces of Haiti campaign!!
After two trips to Haiti performing relief work they brought back more photography, thanks, and stories to share with Seattle. This new campaign, Seeds of Restoration, is centered around Alex Garland's photography. Most recently his work hung in the Jackson Junge Gallery in Chicago as part of a collection celebrating the Occupy movement.
Proceeds from Seeds of Restoration support continuing relief and reconstruction of Haiti. Please join them for an evening of images and conversation.

Artist: Andrew McIntosh
Andrew McIntosh is a Seattle-based artist with over six years of experience in the electronic entertainment industry. His illustration work has been featured in galleries in Seattle, Oakland, and Vancouver.
In his personal work, Andrew loves exploring the juxtaposition between horror and humor, and much of his art is either funny, scary, or both. He’s also a big fan of monsters, especially the kind with stubby little legs and big, floppy ears. He considers the floppy ears to be a selling point.

Emily Alice Peck’s work is encaustic art, using wax, heat, and pigment.
She tells us that she started developing her technique almost 5 years ago:
“The canvas built of wood, using plaster/fresco base, color oil pastels, acrylic, oil, milk and clay paints. The lines are etched, and finished with layers of wax.”
For Emily “the hands are connected to the heart".

SKY: PEACE & TRANQUILITY
Having an eye and appreciation for beauty, SKY (an acronym of the artist's initials) has always loved the arts as far back as she can remember and even wanted to be an artist as a little girl. Always drawn to the unusual and unique things in life, SKY finds abstract art and mixed media to be her niche in the painting realm. For her it’s a perfect form of self-expression. Inspiration comes through colors and designs, which appear in her mind frequently, as well as from home décor, architecture, nature and other artists in all venues.
The medium she currently uses is acrylic paint on canvas with a variety of textures such as molding and fiber paste, coarse pumice and glass bead gel to name a few. She is also a Reiki Master and infuse each of her paintings with the Reiki energy that brings a great sense of peace and tranquility to each piece.

Artist: Patrick Joy
"My creativity and innovation stems from the various influences that have honed my mind to its current shape. As a young boy, my father put tools in my hand and taught me the lessons of craftsmanship, and cultivated the notion that I was signing my name on every surface I created. My mother taught me variation in color, and linear shape and design as I spent time in her hair salon and listened to her soothe clients with intuitive conversation. Both my parents instilled being proud of all that you do, and if there is something comes contrary to your morals, then don’t do it.
Constructing buildings through the years has taught me how to work hard, and the value of being able to persevere through pain and obstacles. I believe it gives me the power to be the eternal optimist I am today, even when things look their darkest I always believe I can overcome anything.
I am painter and photographer foremost. However, I was educated in the graphic arts by working on some of the first versions of Corel PhotoPaint and Adobe PhotoShop and continue to create on Adobe platforms and similar technology today."
